Only two professional reviews exist so far, since it launched in October 2025; both recommend it for its warm, clean analogue sound, the Xone filter and a solid build. Their shared reservation is a single filter for both channels. The two substantive owner reviews at Thomann agree on the sound, and one points anyone connecting a laptop, tablet or phone to the Xone:24C. Buy it for turntables or media players; for software, choose the 24C.

What it is

The Xone:24 is a compact 2+1 channel analogue DJ mixer from Allen & Heath, announced in October 2025 together with the Xone:24C (gearnews). The pair replaced the Xone:23 and Xone:23C, and the new models drop the 23's narrow waist for straight sides like the larger Xone:92 and Xone:96.

The signal path is analogue from input to output, and there is no USB audio, so a laptop or DVS setup needs the Xone:24C or a separate interface. Channels 1 and 2 switch between RCA phono inputs with RIAA preamps and RCA line inputs, and each has a three-band isolator EQ with total kill and a 45 mm VCA fader. The third, auxiliary channel takes a dynamic microphone on an XLR/TRS combi input or a line source on RCA, with a two-band EQ; there is no phantom power.

One Xone:VCF filter, with high-pass and low-pass modes, a frequency sweep and a resonance control, can be assigned to any of the three channels. The crossfader is a mini innoFADER with three curves (constant power, transition and fast cut) and an on/off switch. There are no built-in effects; a master insert on RCA sends and returns takes external effects or a limiter.

Outputs are a balanced XLR master, an RCA booth output with its own level, a pre-master RCA record output, and headphones on 1/4-inch and 3.5 mm jacks with split cue. A chassis earth terminal takes turntable ground straps. It measures 190 x 314 x 108 mm and weighs 2.7 kg (Allen & Heath user guide). The box holds the mixer, an external DC power supply with IEC cable, a QR card and a safety booklet.
