Status, October 2026: current. Allen & Heath lists the updated Xone:92, announced in October 2024, as a current Xone mixer.
What it is
The Xone:92 is a four-plus-two-channel all-analogue club mixer from Allen & Heath, the UK console maker (Allen & Heath product page). The original arrived in 2003 (DJ Mag), and Allen & Heath says its filter "changed the game when it made its debut in 2004." On 9 October 2024 the company announced an updated Xone:92 that keeps the name on the top panel; its own user guide calls it the Xone:92 Mk2, retailers list it as the MK2, and the hardware enhancements come from the 20th-anniversary Xone:92 Limited Edition.
The audio path stays fully analogue, with what Allen & Heath calls the latest high-performance analogue components. Channels 1 to 4 take phono or line and have a four-band EQ with total kill on the high and low bands and two mid controls; the two mic/line channels have a four-band EQ with ±15 dB on every band. Two stereo voltage-controlled filters offer high-pass, band-pass and low-pass responses with frequency, resonance and an LFO, and each can be assigned to any of channels 1 to 4 or to the crossfader. The update adds silent filter switching, a refined VCF control curve, a mini innoFADER Pro crossfader tuned to the original's curve, a three-way global channel fader curve switch, improved input level matching, optimised RIAA preamps, a UV-printed legend with recessed Filter and XFade assign switches, a removable dual-ground adaptor and rear-panel mic clean feed switches.
There are no built-in effects and no USB or digital connections: external effects go through two aux sends and two stereo returns, and a MIDI out sends CC and note messages from assignable controls. Outputs are a balanced XLR Mix 1, a 1/4" TRS Mix 2, booth and record. The larger Xone:96 adds USB audio interfaces, and the smaller Xone:24 sits below.
It measures 320 x 376 x 106 mm, weighs 7 kg and draws 30 W from an internal power supply. The box holds the mixer, spare knobs, a mains lead, the dual-ground adaptor and a QR card.
