Status, October 2026: current. AlphaTheta still lists the euphonia.
What it is
The euphonia is a four-channel rotary DJ mixer from AlphaTheta, announced on 14 March 2024 as the company's first rotary mixer (DJ TechTools). It mixes digitally at 96 kHz with 32-bit converters, and all output passes through a transformer circuit co-designed with Rupert Neve Designs (AlphaTheta product page).
Each channel has a trim, a three-band EQ, a send knob and a rotary fader whose knob is ringed with elastomer; there is no crossfader and no channel filter. The master section has a three-band isolator whose Boost Send buttons put an effect on one band as the knob turns, with a boost level of 0, +6 or +12 dB. The built-in send effects are Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer and a high-pass filter, alongside an external send/return and a master insert for units such as the RMX-1000. The Energy Visualizer display shows a needle meter for each channel and a spectrum analyser of the master.
Every channel takes phono, line and coaxial digital inputs on RCA, plus USB audio from a computer through the single USB-C port. Outputs are XLR master, 1/4" TRS booth with a two-band EQ and RCA rec out, and the mic input is an XLR/TRS combo. It unlocks rekordbox Performance mode and DVS, and works with Serato DJ Pro and Serato DVS on a paid licence. It measures 429.2 x 331.0 x 119.9 mm and weighs 9.5 kg, and the box holds a power cord, the Quick Start Guide and Precautions for Use (euphonia manual).
