The Internet’s Opinion

From 7 professional reviews and 34 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.

All seven professional reviews recommend it as the best-value Serato DVS scratch mixer, for its Innofader, solid build and bundled Serato DJ Pro, and owners at Thomann and Guitar Center repeat the value and the fader. The repeated reservations are four red pads per channel, effects that need Serato, one USB port and no aux input; three owners report faders that wore out or failed.

Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

All seven professional reviews recommend it, and owners at Thomann and Guitar Center agree: a solid, compact mixer with an Innofader and Serato DJ Pro with DVS included, for far less than flagship battle mixers. The trade-offs are four red pads per channel, software effects that need Serato, one USB port and no aux input, and three owners report faders that wore out. Buy it as an entry into Serato scratching; check the faders on a used one.

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. Numark still lists it among its mixers.

What it is

The Numark Scratch is a two-channel DJ mixer for scratch DJs, announced by Numark on 13 June 2019 (Numark announcement, Numark product page). It is built around Serato: connecting it to a Mac or PC over USB unlocks Serato DJ Pro and the Serato DVS expansion, so turntables or CD players with Serato NoiseMap control vinyl or CDs can play digital files. The control records and CDs are sold separately. VirtualDJ supports it with a Pro licence, and Algoriddim lists it as supported in djay.

Each channel has a switchable line/phono input on RCA, so turntables or CD players also play without a computer. The crossfader is an Innofader with reverse and slope switches. Each channel has a three-band EQ and a low-pass/high-pass filter that works on its own, while the six software effects, selected by buttons and launched with two paddles, and the four pads per deck run in Serato DJ Pro. The pads have Cue, Sample and Roll modes.

Outputs are a balanced XLR and an RCA master, an RCA booth output, and headphone jacks on 1/4" and 3.5 mm. A combo XLR/1/4" mic input has its own level and tone controls. The built-in 24-bit/48 kHz sound card connects over one USB-B port, and the power supply is internal. It measures 306 x 244 x 84 mm (12.05 x 9.61 x 3.32 in). The box holds the mixer, a power cable, a USB cable, a software download card and the user guide.
