Status, November 2026: current. SanDisk still lists the DJ Flash Drive.
What it is
The SanDisk DJ Flash Drive is a USB stick with USB-A and USB-C plugs, made with AlphaTheta, Pioneer DJ's parent company, and launched in May 2025 (AlphaTheta). AlphaTheta says it is compatibility-tested with its hardware and rekordbox, and it arrives formatted FAT32, so the players read it without any setup. It comes with three months of the rekordbox Creative plan.
It is sold in 512 GB and 1 TB sizes and uses USB 3.2 Gen 2; SanDisk rates it up to 1,000 MB/s read and 900 MB/s write and gives it a lifetime limited warranty (SanDisk product page). Write speed is what you wait for when rekordbox exports a library to the stick.
Underneath, it is the same hardware as the SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive, which comes in sizes up to 2 TB but isn't set up for the players. It is the first pick in the DJ USB sticks guide, which also covers formatting and rekordbox exports.
