Status, October 2026: current. Reloop still lists the RP-7.
What it is
The RP-7 is a direct-drive DJ turntable from Reloop built only for 7-inch singles, which Reloop calls the first professionally mass-produced DJ turntable for the format (Reloop product page). It went on sale in August 2025 (Digital DJ Tips). It is a separate model from the full-size RP-7000 MK2, whose height-adjustable tonearm base it borrows.
Its quartz-controlled brushless DC motor gives 2.5 kgf·cm of starting torque, and the 215 mm die-cast aluminium platter runs at 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. The full-length pitch fader has no centre click and three ranges, ±8, ±16 and ±35 per cent, with a reset button, alongside strobe dots and a detachable, rotatable LED needle light. The straight, statically balanced copper tonearm has internal rubber damping and a hydraulic lift, and Reloop says it needs no anti-skating. It takes SME-type headshell cartridges, and neither a cartridge nor a headshell is included.
A recessed terminal at the back holds a switchable phono/line output with gold-plated connectors, a ground terminal and an IEC socket for the internal power supply. It measures 350 x 270 x 139 mm and weighs 5.7 kg. The box holds the platter, a vinyl puck, a slipmat and slip sheet, the LED needle light, a counterweight, a phono RCA cable with ground lead, a mains cable and the manual.
