The Internet’s Opinion

From 6 professional reviews: a fair amount of evidence.

Five of six professional reviews recommend it as the best-sounding Pioneer DJ mixer, for its six channels, per-channel compressor, four-band EQs and send/return routing; MusicTech is mixed and keeps the DJM-900NXS2 as the better choice for straightforward DJing. All six call it a niche mixer for hybrid and producer DJs, most note its 11.9 kg and price, and three mention that one filter type is shared across all channels. No owner reviews were available at Guitar Center or Thomann.

What to know first

  • A niche mixer for hybrid and producer DJs, not a replacement for the DJM-900NXS2
  • Very large and heavy at 11.9 kg; it may not fit an existing booth
  • Expensive
Show 2 more
  • One filter type (high-pass or low-pass) is shared across all channels
  • The send effects are less flexible than external units; time and feedback cannot sync to tempo

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. Pioneer DJ still lists the DJM-V10, with firmware ver. 1.30 released in June 2026.

What it is

The DJM-V10 is a six-channel mixer from AlphaTheta's Pioneer DJ brand, announced on 16 January 2020 and shipping from early February 2020 (Pioneer DJ product page). Pioneer DJ calls it a "Creative style" mixer and sells it beside the four-channel club mixers, the DJM-A9 today. A variant, the DJM-V10-LF, followed in November 2020 with 60 mm channel faders and no crossfader.

Each channel has a four-band EQ with split mids, a compressor knob and a filter knob that switches between high-pass and low-pass with a resonance control. The master section has a three-band isolator. Pioneer DJ quotes 96 kHz, 64-bit mixing and dithering with 32-bit A/D and D/A converters and a low-jitter clock. The send/return section offers four built-in send effects (Short Delay, Long Delay, Dub Echo and Reverb) and connects up to two external units, and the Beat FX section on the touch display has 14 effects, Shimmer among them. There are two independent headphone outputs, each with its own cue mix and level, and a two-band booth EQ.

The rear panel takes six coaxial digital, six line and four phono inputs, two mic inputs and three returns, and outputs on XLR and RCA master, an AES/EBU digital master, 1/4" TRS booth, RCA rec out and three sends. Two USB Type-B ports connect two computers at once, a USB Type-A port takes a storage device for My Settings, and a LAN port joins a PRO DJ LINK network.

It runs rekordbox with Performance mode and DVS unlocked, Serato DJ Pro with a paid licence, TRAKTOR PRO 3 for DVS, and djay Pro and the Stagehand app since firmware ver. 1.30. It measures 437.6 x 467.0 x 107.9 mm and weighs 11.9 kg. The box holds a power cord, a Quick Start Guide and, in some regions, a warranty.
