An early read

This page rests on 1 professional review and 3 owner reviews, too few to be sure. It is recompiled as more reviews appear.

Best for
DJs who want several identical sticks with both plugs for little money.

You copy large libraries in one go: it runs warm on long transfers.

The Internet’s Opinion

From 1 professional review and 3 owner reviews: not much evidence yet.

One professional review so far, which recommends it but found the swivel weak and the drive warm on large transfers; a DJ’s timed rekordbox exports rate it the best price for performance among the sticks he tested.

Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

Only one professional review exists so far: Nexus Hub scored it 9/10 as a well-made metal stick with USB-A and USB-C plugs, but found the swivel weak and the drive warm on large transfers. A DJ who timed rekordbox exports rated it the best price for performance among the sticks he tested. Buy it to carry matched sticks, one per player and a spare.

What it is

Status, November 2026: current. SanDisk still lists the Ultra Dual Drive Luxe.

What it is

The Ultra Dual Drive Luxe is a metal USB stick with a USB-A plug and a USB-C plug on a swivel (SanDisk product page). It uses USB 3.2 Gen 1 and is sold from 32 GB to 2 TB. SanDisk rates the 256 GB up to 400 MB/s read and the 32 GB up to 150 MB/s, gives no write speed, and covers it with a five-year limited warranty. It measures 44.5 × 12.2 × 8.6 mm and weighs 12.2 g.

An earlier generation was rated at 150 MB/s; Android.com.pl measured its writes falling from about 70 to 40 MB/s on large files, so check that a listing says 400 MB/s. A DJ who timed rekordbox exports across many sticks rated the Luxe the best price for performance, then suggested one per player plus a spare. It is in the DJ USB sticks guide, which covers formatting and exports.
