The Internet’s Opinion

From 3 professional reviews and 13 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.

Reviewers and Thomann owners agree it is a roomy, well-made and comfortable backpack whose dividers and pockets organise a laptop, a battle mixer or controller and cables, and that keeps rain out. The reservations are its weight before it is packed, the price and a tight headphone pocket.

Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

All three professional reviews recommend it, and the 13 Thomann owner reviews read mostly praise its room, build, dividers and comfort. Bonedo and two owners fit a DJM-S11 or DJM-S7 in the main compartment, and Bonedo and Beatsource Tech found it keeps rain out. The reservations are its weight before packing, the price and a tight headphone pocket. Buy it to carry a laptop, a battle mixer or controller and cables in one bag.

What it is

Status, November 2026: current. Magma still lists the Solid Blaze Pack 120 in black/grey.

What it is

The Solid Blaze Pack 120 is Magma's travel backpack for DJ, production, photo and video gear. The number is the count of recycled 0.5 l bottles in its fabric: the shell is water-repellent, PU-coated RPET 900D polyester, the lining is RPET TC polyester and the zips are lockable YKK AquaGuard. It weighs 2.3 kg and measures 52 x 35 x 23 cm outside, 26 cm deep with the expansion zip open (Magma).

The main compartment is 45 x 32 x 14 cm inside, 17 cm deep expanded, with removable EVA padding and dividers. Magma's fit list includes the Pioneer DJ DJM-S11, DJM-S9 and DJM-S7, the Rane Seventy and Seventy-Two, the Reloop Elite, the Denon DJ Prime Go, the Pioneer DJ DJS-1000, Ableton Push 3 and NI Maschine+, plus 12-inch records. Bonedo fitted a DJM-S11 comfortably and found the dividers stay put in transit.

A separate padded compartment at the back takes a laptop up to 17 inches and a tablet. Outside are a headphone pocket that also holds a camera, side pockets for a bottle or tripod and for pens and keys, a USB port fed from a power bank you supply, a hidden document pocket, a detachable hip belt and a trolley sling. Bonedo rates it cabin-baggage size, and Beatsource Tech takes it on flights as hand luggage with the expansion zip closed. Three Thomann owners call it heavy before it is packed; one weighed theirs at 2.6 kg.
