Status, October 2026: discontinued. Denon DJ replaced it with the PRIME GO+, announced in October 2024.
What it is
The PRIME GO is a two-deck standalone DJ system from Denon DJ, launched in January 2020 as the smallest unit in its PRIME range beside the PRIME 2 and PRIME 4 (Denon DJ product page). A built-in lithium-ion battery runs it for up to four hours away from the mains, and a recharge takes up to two hours.
It runs Engine OS on the unit and plays music from a USB drive or SD card prepared in Denon DJ's Engine desktop software. Over Wi-Fi or the Ethernet link port it streams from Beatport LINK, Beatsource LINK, SoundCloud GO+ and TIDAL, and it can play files from a Dropbox account. Sets can be recorded straight to the connected USB drive or SD card. Engine DJ 4.1 later added Bluetooth speaker output and Slip mode. VirtualDJ supports it as a controller with a Pro licence, while Denon DJ lists it as not compatible with Serato DJ Pro.
A 7-inch multi-touch screen handles browsing, track preview and waveforms. Each deck has a capacitive jog wheel with a Vinyl mode for scratching and eight pads in two banks for hot cues, loops and rolls. The two-channel mixer has a three-band EQ per channel, a filter or wash-out Sweep FX and an assignable Beat FX unit.
Outputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA master, balanced 1/4" booth, and 1/4" and 3.5 mm headphones. Inputs are two XLR/1/4" combo mic inputs and an RCA aux. It measures 411 x 274 x 53 mm and weighs 3.68 kg. The box holds the unit, a power adapter, a USB cable, an Engine software download card, a display cleaning cloth, the quickstart guide and the safety and warranty manual.
