An early read

This page rests on 2 professional reviews and no owner reviews, too few to be sure. It is recompiled as more reviews appear.

Best for
DJs who play from a laptop, DVS or USB and carry only essentials.

You need to carry a controller or mixer to gigs.

The Internet’s Opinion

From 2 professional reviews: not much evidence yet.

Too little evidence to call: only two reviews were found, both positive, and neither raises a reservation that a second source repeats.

Our take

Tony AllenWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

Only two professional reviews exist, both positive. Digital DJ Tips calls it a high-quality backpack with excellent organisation for DJs who play with DVS or media players, and Cleveland Terry ranks the Jetpack bags among the best. Neither is recent, and no owner reviews were found. It carries a laptop and accessories, not a mixer or controller; for those, Digital DJ Tips points to Jetpack's larger bags or a flight case.

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. JetPack Bags still sells the Slim in black, camouflage and gray (JetPack Bags).

What it is

The JetPack Slim is a DJ backpack from Orbit Concepts, the company behind the JetPack range of DJ bags. It went on sale on 25 October 2016 as a slimmer, day-bag version of the larger JetPacks, with a travel-friendly, TSA-approved laptop compartment (Orbit Concepts, archived).

It is built for a laptop and gig essentials rather than hardware. Per Digital DJ Tips, both compartments open flat. The laptop side has a padded sleeve with a velcro strap, two sleeves for records and slipmats, and a removable slim CD case, with a small zipped pocket on top for USB drives and earplugs. The main side has two velcro pockets for items such as a cartridge case, a microphone or a laptop charger, a large elastic mesh pouch for headphones and cables, two more mesh pouches, a key clip and sleeves for business cards.

Digital DJ Tips lists it at 470 x 76 x 190 mm and 1.54 kg, with adjustable straps and air mesh cushioning on the back. A mixer or controller does not fit; JetPack's larger bags or a flight case cover that.

JetPack offers embroidery of one or two DJ or company logos on the front as a paid option, usually 5 to 7 inches on the longest side.
