Status, October 2026: discontinued. Pioneer DJ replaced it with the DDJ-FLX6-GT, announced on 15 November 2022, and has since archived the FLX6-GT as well; the current four-channel controller below the DDJ-FLX10 is the AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6.
What it is
The DDJ-FLX6 is a four-channel DJ controller for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro from Pioneer DJ, announced on 17 November 2020 (Pioneer DJ product page). It was the first Pioneer DJ unit in a dark grey matte finish, and its layout follows a club CDJ and DJM setup.
It is a Hardware Unlock controller for rekordbox, so Performance mode works without a paid plan, and it unlocks Serato DJ Pro free when plugged in. Pioneer DJ later said VirtualDJ works with it after a firmware update, and a mapping file adds TRAKTOR PRO 3 support. Algoriddim's djay supports it without decks 3 and 4.
A DECK SELECT switch on each side moves between two decks. Each side has a full-size jog wheel, the same size as the CDJ-3000's, with an On Jog Display of the playhead, and eight back-lit rubber pads. Pioneer DJ introduced two features on it. Merge FX builds a transition from one knob and drops the next track with an optional sample, with eight pattern presets in rekordbox and four in Serato DJ Pro. Jog Cutter applies one of 10 scratch patterns when the jog wheel moves. rekordbox also added Sample Scratch, a pad mode that loads sampler sounds onto a deck.
It runs on USB bus power through one USB-B port. Outputs are master and booth on RCA and headphones on 1/4" and 3.5 mm jacks; the only input is a 1/4" microphone jack. It measures 676 x 346 x 69 mm and weighs 3.8 kg. The box holds a USB cable, paperwork and vouchers for Serato's Pitch 'n Time DJ and FX Pack expansions.
