The Internet’s Opinion

From 3 professional reviews and 12 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.

All three professional reviews recommend it as one of the cheapest standalone controllers, for Wi-Fi streaming from Amazon Music, Tidal, Beatport, Beatsource and SoundCloud, built-in speakers and a build that feels better than its price, and Thomann owners repeat how easy it is to start on. The reservations are short pitch faders, a limited effects section and a small screen.

Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

All three professional reviews recommend it, and Thomann owners give the same reasons: it runs Engine DJ without a laptop, streams from Amazon Music, Tidal, Beatport, Beatsource and SoundCloud over Wi-Fi, has speakers for practice, and is built better than its price suggests. The reservations are short pitch faders, a basic effects section and a small screen that owners found hard to read outdoors. Buy it to learn and play at home; for the same layout on a battery, see the Mixstream Pro Go.

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. Numark still lists the Mixstream Pro+.

What it is

The Mixstream Pro+ is a two-channel standalone DJ controller from inMusic's Numark brand that runs the Engine DJ operating system, so it plays without a laptop (Numark product page). Numark announced it on 30 January 2023 as a second model beside the original Mixstream Pro, adding Amazon Music Unlimited streaming and a Computer Mode for Serato DJ and VirtualDJ; owners of the original were given the Serato mode by update (Digital DJ Tips). The battery-powered Mixstream Pro Go shares the same layout and user guide.

A 7-inch (178 mm) touchscreen sits between two 6-inch capacitive-touch wheels with Smart Scratch. Each deck has four dual-layer pads with Cue, Saved Loop, Auto Loop and Roll modes, a three-band EQ, a filter knob and a pitch slider with ranges from 4 % to 100 %, and the mixer carries four effects (Echo, Flanger, Delay and Phaser) on two toggle switches. Built-in Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz streams from Amazon Music Unlimited, TIDAL, Beatport, Beatsource, SoundCloud Go+ and Dropbox, and music also loads from SD cards or USB drives formatted exFAT or FAT32. Engine Lighting controls Philips Hue and Nanoleaf lights, and DMX fixtures from the touchscreen using libraries prepared in SoundSwitch.

The built-in speakers have their own volume control. The rear panel has balanced XLR and RCA main outputs, two USB ports for drives, an SD slot and a USB-B port to a computer; headphones go on 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch jacks and a microphone on a 1/4-inch input at the front. It runs from a 12 V, 3 A adapter, measures 566 x 284 x 74 mm and weighs 3.68 kg. The user guide lists the box as the unit, the power supply, a USB cable, an Engine DJ software download card, a cleaning cloth, a quickstart guide and the safety manual. Serato DJ Lite is free with it; Serato DJ Pro and VirtualDJ need paid licences.
