The Internet’s Opinion

Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

Eight of nine professional reviews recommend it for clear, balanced sound at a lower volume, a secure fit that stays put while dancing, and a discreet look. No owner reviews were read. HearingTracker's audiologist finds it less natural than some rivals, and DJ Hurley points DJs who play loud clubs to flatter earplugs. Loop rates it at 17 dB SNR. Buy it for gigs and clubs at one level; to change the level in the ear, choose an adjustable earplug.

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. Loop still sells the Experience 2 on its own shop, in four colours and several branded editions.

What it is

The Experience 2 is a reusable earplug for concerts, clubs and live events from Loop, a Belgian earplug brand. Loop launched it on 14 May 2024 alongside the Quiet 2 and Engage 2, as the next generation of the original Experience, and says the update brought more comfort, less in-ear pressure, better sound overall and new ear tips (Loop press release).

It is passive, with no electronics: a ring-shaped body with an acoustic channel, membrane and mesh that filter sound rather than block it. Loop rates it at 17 dB SNR on its European shop and 12 dB NRR on its US shop (Loop product page), and says the reduction stays the same whatever the pitch or intensity of the sound. NRR and SNR come from different tests, so compare SNR with SNR and NRR with NRR. Loop says all its earplugs comply with EN 352-2 and ANSI S3.19.

The box holds the earplugs, four pairs of silicone tips in XS, S, M and L, a carry case with a keychain loop and a user guide. Loop Mute inserts, which Loop says add 5 dB for louder rooms, are sold separately and come with the Experience 2 Plus. The earplugs come in silver, black, gold and rose gold.

To clean them, Loop says to take off the tips and wash them in water with mild soap, wipe the earplugs with a soft cloth and let everything dry before refitting. Loop gives a two-year warranty and 100-day returns on orders from its own shop.
