The Jetpack Slim DJ bag is a great all-around option for someone that needs a quality bag to both protect and organize their DJ equipment.

While other options on the market are available, I do have to say that the Jetpack here is certainly a top contender and something worth looking at, regardless of your DJ history or how long you’ve been in the game.

And while it’s not the largest option out there, that doesn’t make it any less effective at doing what it does.

Is The Jetpack Slim DJ Bag Any Good?

The Jetpack Slim DJ bag from Jetpack bags is easily one of the better options out there and something just about any DJ can benefit from.

Jetpack Slim DJ Bag: First Impressions

Starting off with first impressions, the Jetpack Slim DJ bag, right out of the gate, gives you three different design options to choose from – black, camo, and gray.

The DJ bag comes in a clean and minimalist design that sits well understated. I’m a fan of the clean look that isn’t too distracting.

While there are some bags out there that have a bit of a nicer build design, the Jetpack’s simplistic setup definitely is something that, while easily overlooked, is something that you won’t forget once you see it.

In terms of design, I like the gray option the most, though the camo is a fun alternative.

Orbit Concepts, their parent company, also allows for customized embroideries for your DJ logo which is super cool marketing when you think about it.

Build

From a build perspective, the Jetpack Slim’s materials are all top-tier stuff. You can tell that this wasn’t just thrown together, even with its bland-looking design, and that very real craftsmanship was put here.

What does that mean?

Well, it means super impressive durability and resilience, able to withstand most wear and tear you may experience when running around between DJ sets. It also has super strong and secure straps that are fully adjustable and feel great to the touch.

The bag also comes with air mesh cushioning for its back so that it can be worn comfortably even if loaded with equipment.

A Deeper Look

Taking a closer look into what the bag has to offer, the Jetpack Slim comes with two main compartments to play with.

Laptop Compartment

The first is a laptop storage compartment, which has an entirely padded sleeve alongside a velcro strap for security.

The compartment is TSA-friendly and makes it very easy to move through the TSA process without having to open your bag up and deal with all the extra hassle.

The compartment’s other side holds two sleeves which can be used to store your slipmats, vinyl records, and slim CD cases. The top of the bag is great for putting some small items like earplugs or a USB drive.

Main Storage

On the other end, there’s the main storage compartment. Here, this area has numerous pockets and pouches that can be used to store your DJ materials.

As an example, the bag has two velcro pockets which are great for putting away a microphone or a small controller accessory. You could also think of including a turntable cartridge case or a power adapter for your laptop.

Above your main storage compartment’s pockets is a large pouch that can be used to store your different things like your headphones or your cables.

The overlapping design also lets you put in a good amount of additional gear while the bag’s other side has two more mesh pouches as well as a place for hanging your keys.

Overall Performance

What we Like:

  • Great Design: The Jetpack Slim DJ bag looks awesome and comes in three different design options alongside the ability to further customize it by including your DJ logo, something very few other bags offer as a perk.
  • Super Durable: While not “the” most durable option out there, there is little you’ll run into in your daily life that will stress or strain this bag’s durability.
  • Tons Of Pockets: Lastly, the Jetpack Slim DJ bag has a ton of different pockets you can play with. These pocket options are impressively quite varied, with none working perfectly for any other pocket’s tools. There are certainly other bags out there with more pockets. However, this has more than enough for everything you’ll need.

What We Do Not Like:

  • Not So Much Space: Really the only thing you’re losing out on is the space. You can store a lot, but if you were trying to focus on your equipment as well, you may end up a bit disappointed with how much of a squeeze it would be.

Jetpack Slim DJ Bag: The Verdict

Whether you’re talking about the more travel-centric aspects or simply the fact that you have a ton of pockets to play with, the Jetpack slim DJ bag is a solid buy and certainly worth your time if you don’t currently have a quality backpack to play with or want something you can throw on a plane without needing to inspect or take out of the bag in the process.
