An 8-inch active monitor with Bluetooth and room-filling bass for the money; warm rather than flat, and large.

All four professional reviews recommend it, one of them a paid promotion, for bass that fills a room without a subwoofer, highs that stay clean at volume and its price; the four Thomann owners are positive too, though one finds it bassy. The reservation is a warm, bass-leaning voicing rather than a flat one. Evidence is still thin. Buy it for production and DJ practice in a mid-sized room; for a tight desk, reviewers point to the Kreate 5.
From 4 professional reviews and 4 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.
All four professional reviews recommend it as a budget 8-inch monitor whose bass fills a room without a subwoofer, with highs that stay clean at volume and flexible wired and Bluetooth inputs; one was a paid promotion, and the four Thomann owners are positive too. The reservations are a warm, bass-leaning voicing rather than a flat one and a size and rear port that suit a larger room.

The Kreate 8 is a powered two-way studio monitor from KRK Systems, the monitor brand owned by Gibson, and the largest model in the Kreate series that launched in June 2025 alongside the Kreate 3 pair and the Kreate 5. Gibson's launch article says the series supplants KRK's Classic line, which included the Classic 8. KRK calls the series the gateway into the KRK family.
Each cabinet holds an 8-inch woven glass fibre woofer and a 1-inch textile dome tweeter, driven by an 80 W Class D amplifier and a 20 W Class A/B amplifier. KRK quotes 48 Hz to 40 kHz (±3 dB), 40 Hz at -10 dB and a maximum SPL of 111 dB. The bass port is on the rear panel.
The rear panel has a balanced XLR/quarter-inch TRS combo input, an unbalanced RCA input and a Bluetooth 5.3 button. Two Kreate 8s can link over Bluetooth as a left and right pair. There is a system level knob, an HF level control (-2 dB to +1 dB) and LF boundary settings (-2, -1 or +2 dB). The monitor goes into standby after 30 minutes without signal. There is no app or DSP control.
The Kreate 8 is sold singly, so a stereo pair means buying two. Each speaker comes with a factory-fitted foam isolation pad and a power cord. It measures 388 x 275 x 304 mm (H x W x D) and weighs 9.3 kg.
KRK asks for at least 10 cm of clearance above, behind and to each side for ventilation Manufacturer spec sheet (KRK Systems (Kreate Series user manual)), checked 2026-10-12
