All twelve professional reviews recommend it for its value, a smooth top end that does not tire the ears and more low end than a 5-inch woofer suggests; two were paid promotions. The reservations are a voicing that flatters rather than analyses, bass that runs out early and gentle tone trims, and only six owner reviews could be read. Buy it as a first monitor for a small room; for bass-heavy work, reviewers point to the Kreate 8.
From 12 professional reviews and 6 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.
All twelve professional reviews recommend it as a good-value first studio monitor, for a smooth top end that does not tire the ears, more low end than its size suggests, flexible wired and Bluetooth inputs and simple room trims; two of the video reviews were paid promotions. The repeated reservations are a voicing that flatters rather than analyses, deep bass that runs out (the rear port also needs space from the wall) and gentle tone trims.

The Kreate 5 is a powered two-way studio monitor from KRK Systems, the monitor brand owned by Gibson. It launched in June 2025 as the middle model of the Kreate series, between the Kreate 3 pair and the Kreate 8. Gibson's launch article says the series supplants KRK's Classic line, and KRK calls the series the gateway into the KRK family.
Each cabinet holds a 5-inch woven glass fibre woofer and a 1-inch textile dome tweeter, driven by a 45 W Class D amplifier and a 15 W Class A/B amplifier. KRK quotes 58 Hz to 40 kHz (±3 dB) and a maximum SPL of 105 dB. The bass port is on the rear panel.
The rear panel has a balanced XLR/quarter-inch TRS combo input, an unbalanced RCA input and a Bluetooth 5.3 button. Two Kreate 5s can link over Bluetooth as a left and right pair. There is a system level knob, an HF level control (-2 dB to +1 dB) and LF boundary settings (-2, -1 or +2 dB). The monitor goes into standby after 30 minutes without signal. There is no app or DSP control.
The Kreate 5 is sold singly, so a stereo pair means buying two, and KRK also sells it in a Latte finish. Each speaker comes with a factory-fitted foam isolation pad, a power cord and the manual. It measures 259 x 185 x 229 mm (H x W x D) and weighs 4.3 kg.
