Our take

Rory TassellWritten from the sources on this page, not from a loan unit.

No professional review of this model has been published, and Thomann and Guitar Center show no owner reviews yet, so there is no verdict to report. Chauvet DJ's figures describe twelve RGBA LEDs, phone control over Bluetooth, ILS syncing with a GigBAR Move + ILS, and 4 or 8 DMX channels. Buy it if you want one wash light that works from an app or inside an ILS rig; wireless DMX needs a D-Fi USB.

What it is

Status, October 2026: current. Chauvet DJ still lists the SlimPAR Q12BT ILS and marks it as new.

What it is

The SlimPAR Q12BT ILS is a flat LED wash light from Chauvet DJ with twelve 5 W quad-colour LEDs in red, green, blue and amber (Chauvet DJ product page). It combines the two control options that Chauvet DJ sells separately in the SlimPAR Q12 BT, which has Bluetooth, and the SlimPAR Q12 ILS, which has ILS; both are still listed.

Over Bluetooth it runs from Chauvet DJ's free BTAir app on a phone or tablet with no extra hardware, per its manual. In ILS mode it follows the pars on one side of a GigBAR Move + ILS, and an ILS Command controller can program it. It also takes 4 or 8 DMX channels over 3-pin XLR, runs master/slave, and has static colours, automatic programs and a sound-active mode. Wireless DMX needs a D-Fi USB transceiver plugged into its USB port, and the IRC-6 infrared remote is optional; neither is in the box.

Chauvet DJ rates it at 3,850 lux at 2 m with a 17° beam and a 35° field. It draws 51 W, and up to 10 units power-link from one socket at 120 V or 16 at 230 V. It weighs 1.54 kg and measures 279 x 274 x 78 mm. The box holds the light, a power cord and a quick reference guide.
