The Native Instruments Traktor MX2 is a two-channel DJ controller for Traktor Pro 4, launched in October 2025. It comes with the full version of Traktor Pro 4, and new customers get two months of Beatport Streaming. In May 2026 Native Instruments announced an agreement to be acquired by inMusic, the owner of Rane, Denon DJ and Numark, and said its products and brands continue; NI's site is now published by inMusic NI GmbH.
NI's FAQ compares it with the Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3: the MX2 is larger, at 511.4 x 323.1 mm against 486 x 265 mm. It weighs 2.73 kg. The two decks control Traktor's Decks A and B, with touch-sensitive jog wheels that switch between Turntable and Jog modes and are not motorised. There are 16 RGB pads with Hotcues, Stems, Flux Loops and Pattern Player modes, one-knob Mixer FX with nine effects, controls for two Deck FX units with more than 40 effects, and an LED-lit base that changes colour as a track nears its end or loops. It can control other DJ software in a MIDI mode, and it works alongside other Traktor controllers such as the F1.
The built-in 24-bit/96 kHz audio interface has a main output on RCA and a 1/8-inch mini jack, headphone outputs on 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch, and a 1/4-inch mic input. There is no XLR or booth output. It connects to the computer over USB-C and needs its external power supply, which is in the box with a USB cable.
