Four of six professional reviews recommend it as a fun, cable-free djay controller with Neural Mix stems on a button and a 10-hour battery, and owners repeat how small and light it is. Four reviews and two owners flag the catch: there are no audio outputs, so cueing means a mono split cable and often a phone adapter. Buy it for casual mixing on the move; to learn to play out, reviewers point to the DDJ-FLX2.
From 6 professional reviews and 8 owner reviews: a fair amount of evidence.
Four of six professional reviews recommend it as a fun, fully wireless djay controller with Neural Mix stems on a button and a 10-hour battery, and owners repeat how small and light it is. Four reviews and two owners flag the missing audio outputs: cueing needs the supplied mono split cable and a phone adapter, and owners also report lag through Bluetooth speakers and a plastic, cramped build.

The DJControl Mix Ultra is a two-deck controller from Hercules, built with Algoriddim for the djay app on phones and tablets. Hercules launched it in January 2025, after it won a CES 2025 Innovation Award. It sits beside the DJControl Mix, which also connects over Bluetooth but has no battery.
It pairs with djay on iOS 15 or Android 10 and later over Bluetooth LE, and runs on a built-in 1,000 mAh battery that Hercules rates at up to 10 hours. The USB-C port charges it. The controller has no audio outputs: sound plays from the phone or tablet, from Bluetooth speakers or headphones paired to it, or through the supplied split cable on the device's headphone output, which sends the master to speakers and the cue to headphones in mono. Phones without a headphone jack need a USB-C or Lightning adapter. djay comes free with the controller, which also unlocks djay's Neural Mix stem separation.
Each deck has a touch-sensitive jog wheel, a tempo fader, sync, cue and play buttons and eight pads with four modes (hot cue, loop, effects and Neural Mix) and four more with Shift. The mixer has a three-band EQ and a filter per channel, a browse encoder with load buttons, a Neural Mix button, channel faders and a crossfader. In the box are the controller, a protective cover that doubles as a phone and tablet stand, a USB-A to USB-C cable, the split cable and a quick start guide. It weighs 0.85 kg.
