The repeated reservations are a high price, few streaming services at launch, no stems or sampler and its weight; early units lost audio or froze until firmware 1.05, and owner evidence is thin.

Le XDJ-AZ est un système DJ tout-en-un à quatre voies d'AlphaTheta, l'entreprise derrière Pioneer DJ. AlphaTheta l'a annoncé le 10 octobre 2024 comme successeur du XDJ-XZ, avec une disposition et un toucher de jog repris du lecteur multiple CDJ-3000 et de la table de mixage DJM-A9.
Il lit quatre decks en autonome depuis des clés ou disques USB, et en Wi-Fi depuis Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, Spotify et Tidal via StreamingDirectPlay, chacun avec l'abonnement du service. rekordbox CloudDirectPlay demande un abonnement rekordbox Creative ou Professional, ou l'option Cloud. Branché à un ordinateur en USB-C, il fait tourner rekordbox en mode Performance ou Serato DJ Pro sans abonnement payant pour l'un ou l'autre ; la prise en charge de Serato DJ Pro est arrivée en décembre 2024.
Un écran tactile capacitif de 10,1 pouces surplombe la section mixage, et chaque deck a une jog wheel de 206 mm et huit Performance Pads rétroéclairés. La section mixage propose 14 Beat FX, 6 Sound Color FX et un égaliseur master trois bandes.
