Seven of ten professional reviews recommend it as an easy first controller that runs rekordbox, Serato DJ Lite and djay on a phone, tablet or computer and, unlike the DDJ-200, has its own master and headphone outputs; Smart Fader and Smart CFX are praised repeatedly. The reservations are what it leaves out, gain, meters, a browse knob and a mic input, and several reviewers say most DJs will outgrow it and point to the DDJ-FLX4.
