Brand-new, lightweight, ergonomic DJ headphone design

Pioneer DJ has announced the release of the HDJ-CX on-ear headphones from their professional headphone range. They are a brand-new lightweight professional design of on-ear DJ headphones.

The HDJ-CX is designed for user comfort and will deliver “tight audio with a wide range for mixing and monitoring music”.

The Pioneer DJ press release says, “You can wear the HDJ-CX headphones for several hours and hardly feel their presence. This supreme level of comfort comes from the brand-new, lightweight, ergonomic design. Every tiny detail has been considered, including the wiring in the cable which has been slimmed down to reduce weight, and even the positioning of the curl on the coiled cable which has been moved closer to the plug for greater balance. It’s easy to find a perfect fit thanks to all this, plus a high level of flex in the sturdy stainless steel headband and adjustable earcups.

Once you’ve got them on, you might be surprised by the range of sound produced by such a lightweight pair of headphones. Mids and highs are clear and precise while lows are fat and powerful thanks to the PEEK-PU-PEEK composite film diaphragm1. Bass reflex chambers in the housings improve the low-frequency response even more and the sound insulators bring a higher level of audio insulation, so you’ll hear every nuance of the music.”

The first time you handle the HDJ-CX headphones you’ll be struck by how light they feel, but after using them for a while you’ll also notice how sturdy they are. As well as passing demanding tests like the other professional headphones in the Pioneer DJ range, the HDJ-CX model has passed the US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H Shock test.

Check them out over on the Pioneer DJ website.
